Sustainable energy: New energy innovations to make the future brighter - Compilation

1. An Australian company has been working on a system that uses underwater buoys to convert sea waves into zero-emission energy and desalinated water.

2. Scientists in China are producing solar panels that can produce energy from the last source you’d expect — rainwater.

3. A Japanese engineer has designed a new type of wind turbine that he believes would be able to harness power from typhoons.

4. Researchers at Binghamton University have come up with an interesting way to harness energy, using a resource we have far too much of — bacteria.

5. US scientists have developed a bionic leaf that can convert solar energy into liquid fuel.

  1. I just sent my dad a link to this and only just finished the video and died when it came up with wank band. Y u do dis

  2. kill the people.. by dropping atomic bomb….let the atomic war happen. then population will automatically reduced

  3. I see many comments about the population causing a disaster, with advancing technology we can create homes on earth where we could not before and even if we have more than 7 billion people on earth we only inhabit 60 and the worlds land mass and we have plenary of food thanks to growing advances, in 1975 a type of wheat was created that could resist many distinct problems that normal wheat couldn’t achieve, so our true main problems are pollution and being able to have sustained energy that we can have for decades.

  4. Say goodbye to high utility bill. You can make your own power with producing power technique “boma fetching unique” (Google it), and that means you are saved from paying high electric bills. With some easy tricks and minor adjustments to the way you operate your home appliances, you could drive your energy costs down.

  5. It is common for a lot of families to stare dejectedly at $200, $300, $400, or even $500 in power bills each month. There are occasions when even a rich family can`t seem to afford amounts like this for the approaching months. This is a producing power method “boma fetching unique” (Google it) to reduce your electricity bill and generate your own power.

  6. Just stick some thermoelectric peltiers in an array underground where it's hot and pipe in some ocean water or even ice water from the poles. 24/7 power that is practically unlimited.

  7. Love how a breakthrough in fusion energy is promptly followed by "power wanking"..(reinvented Casio kinetic?)

Is that John Oliver depicted in the animation?

  8. As a nation, Britain seems committed to increasing Cycle-ways and walking tracks. It ALL these were surfaced with the French style roadway surfaces, A: Wear and tear would be drastically reduced. And B: the necessary infrastructure taken out of harms way from road accidents. Also, I can't help thinking of all the hundreds of thousands of miles of urban and suburban pavements in ALMOST EVERY country, where such panels could be laid FAR less expensively than on our busy roads.

THEN. Anaerobic Digesters: All even moderately densely occupied areas have sewerage mains, leading to a sewage works. ? How much 'greenhouse gas' are they releasing un-harvested into the atmosphere? Could THAT source of potential energy be captured? Also, as renewal / expansion works are undertaken, couldn't these 'Digesters' be installed then?

  9. Pretty much all of these inventions are less efficient than current technology. If I have money to invest in an energy solution, then why would I not want to optimize the total amount of energy that I can get for my investment?
