Project AREUS: Automation and Robotics for EUropean Sustainable Manufacturing

This project, funded by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration, develops hardware technologies to leverage bi-directional energy flows and to improve the use of renew-able energy sources in factories. A new electrical power supply system will dramatically reduce the energy consumption of robotized automation systems.

  3. very interesting manufacture of new generation of robots whom they grow up the reliability on the same time they minimise the energy nourchement. kuka must thinks to replace old robots installed before, inside all plants in worldwide, by those new economical robots.

  4. Solar roofs are the trend for modern production facilities (Tesla Gigafactory for example). Nice to see KUKA adapting robotic infrastructure to take advantage of it. 👍👍
