Off grid battery upgrade!

Off grid battery upgrade!

My company West Coast Sustainables installed a new Iron Edison 800 Ah battery bank on an exsisting Outback off the grid power system.

  1. Jason, that fuse block you installed, isn't that a Blue Sea Systems product, if so how is it possible to use a 32v fuse block in a 48v battery system? I realize the fuse is rated at 48v or above, but according to Blue Sea Systems, their manufacturer doesn't make a 48v product.

  2. What is the cost of this 800 AH battery bank? What is the life expectancy of the batteries if they are not taken below 50% capacity?

  3. Love to see nice clean installs. Good job! I started out trying to be neat and clean and will try to keep it that way. 🙂

  4. Jason will these batteries hold up in a tiny home that moves 4 times a year around 600 miles each time if properly mounted?

  5. Hey Jason,

Noticed the max and min water lines on the batteries. Please describe the amount of maintenance/attention this battery bank needs to keep the liquid levels in the correct zone. Do these batteries offer something extraordinary to offset the maintenance vs a sealed AGM battery bank? Thank you for your comments.

  6. Wow, those batteries are 1000 a piece. I'm drooling over here. How long would one expect a battery bank like that to last under heavy/medium use?
