  1. No were near worth it. Also remember the difficultly increase over time!! And for people not living in a Sunny Country, they would end up bankrupt

  2. I'm not sure what your talking about with taking up space in your yard…. they are installed on your roof. Why would you have them installed in your yard and care about square footage taken up? In Australia it costs between $6000 and $8000KAUD to install 6-8KW worth of panels. I'm talking LG Neon2 panels. for 6-8kw you would need between 16 and 20 panels. That is plenty to run something like an S9 AND have a 1.-5 to 3 KW massive air conditioner running all day… and all home appliances. Then factor in possibility of using tesla powerwall and you have power at night too

  3. Upgrade to 240, have a shop in your garage with heavy machines you never use. Well, now you have a use for those 240 plugs.
They need to invent a "Home fusion" power supply for personal homes.
In Mid Michigan they have huge gas well fields in the wooded areas and i have been told that some of these property's when purchased will allow you to use the natural gas for free as a royalty payment for having the well on your property. Now take that free natural gas and run in to a generator. Free power, minus the cost of the generator and electrical.

  4. I am curious what your take on the economics are now, currently the price of bitcoin is 7-8 times what it was when the video was made.

  5. How would this work for Ether and other coins? graphics card a gtx 970 windforce but the one I can put in runs 3x as fast and runs cooler and is overclocked?

  6. But if you have a very well paying job and running a Bitcoin miner and plan to run solar power on that miner

  7. Mining using Solar power is actually a great idea. I'm doing it with a 3kW PV system + Antminer s9 –> I am saving approx 30% on the power bill. There are days I doubt whether this venture was actually a wise one. On the other hand, the solar PV system will be with me for at least 15 years and I can recover the initial cost over that period of time. Not too wise perhaps, but having lights when nobody else has is priceless 🙂
